AliveID Alumni Card

AliveID Alumni (Licenced Alumni ID)

AliveID Alumni is a digital card that allows you to stay connected with the Silesian University in Opava even after graduation and take advantage of related benefits. It also enables you to access thousands of discounts and benefits within the network of GTS partner organizations across the Czech Republic.

Who can apply

  • persons who have successfully completed their studies by graduating from a study programme and have been awarded a university diploma,
  • employees of the Silesian University who are also its alumni,
  • participants of the University of the Third Age and graduates of lifelong learning programmes are not considered alumni.

How it works

  • the card is issued exclusively in digital form,
  • you can find it in the mobile application Alive App,
  • the application allows you to:
    • display the identification section of the card (photo, name, validity),
    • browse an overview of discounts and benefits and use these discounts,
    • view places offering discounts on a map of your surroundings,
    • receive notifications about exclusive offers and competitions,
    • receive notifications about university events where we would be happy to see you as an alumni,
    • take advantage of benefits provided by the Silesian University, such as library access, services of the Career and Counselling Centre, discounts on lifelong learning courses or accommodation in student dormitories.

Validity

  • validity is always from the date of issue until the end of the current calendar year,
  • extension of validity for another year is automatic and free of charge.

These are previously issued chip cards whose issuance and support have been discontinued.

These cards remain valid for using the benefits provided by Silesian University. However, they can no longer be used to obtain discounts from ALIVE programme partner organizations (revalidation stickers for ALIVE cards are no longer issued).

We therefore recommend that you apply for a new digital AliveID Alumni card, which we provide free of charge:

  • It completely replaces the old chip card.
  • Benefits provided by Silesian University remain unchanged.
  • You additionally gain access to discounts from ALIVE programme partner organizations throughout the Czech Republic.
  • Validity is renewed automatically and free of charge.
  • Through the Alive App, you will receive notifications about university events (e.g. alumni reunions, university ball).
