Support for scientific work

Gaining experience through foreign internships, exchange stays or participating in research projects with international teams is an integral part of scientific work. Supporting international activities and gaining international experience is one of the University's long-term priorities. The University supports participation in various international programmes, including bilateral and institutional agreements, grant schemes, or governmental, ministerial and other programmes and calls.

International mobility, working in international teams and participating in international projects are all considered in the selection of new employees and in the evaluation of career growth and personal development.

The method of organizing mobility is outlined in the Rector's Directive on the Organization and Financing of Foreign Mobility of the Silesian University in Opava.
The Department of Science and International Relations of the Rector's Office, along with corresponding professional units, act as mediators for foreign mobility.
