In connection with the situation in Ukraine, the Silesian University, Faculty of Philosophy and Science in Opava will provide the following forms of assistance for prospective students coming from Ukraine. We will make every effort to mitigate the impact on Ukrainian students.

Financial support

Financial support for Ukrainian citizens after February 24, 2022, is available in the following amount, subject to availability of funds:

15.000 CZK/month for short-term mobility students

Short-term mobility enrolment

Short-term enrolment is possible into any of the study programs: https://www.slu.cz/fpf/cz/obory.

The student needs to sign a Learning Agreement which specifies which courses the student will be attending (and will take exams in, when the semester ends). No degree is awarded upon the end of the study period.

The deadline for application is 30th June 2022 (for winter semester 2022/23).

Integration support (language course, orientation, etc.)

A free elective course is available for all international students „Czech for Foreigners“. The faculty has a Buddy Programme.
