Wargaming is looking for talented and motivated Data Science Interns to join the Data Science team for a 6 month paid internship program from March 23, 2022, until September 23, 2022. We expect your involvement for 20 hours per week. The team helps all Wargaming games by providing data-driven insights and solutions. Certain topics they’re responsible for include analyzing the player’s lifecycle, developing predictive Customer Relationship Management models, analyzing the impact of new game features, and developing algorithms for bots or detecting cheaters. In addition, the team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the internal Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics platform. As a Data Science intern, you will participate in various projects that are focused on solving challenging business problems by developing statistical or machine learning models.

• Konstatin Lyubonevich (Senior Data Engineer): SQL

• Andrey Yarmola (PhD, Director of Data Science): transforming business problems into data science projects

What will you do?

• Develop models that provide insights into our games and player behavior

• Prepare models for deployment in production

• Present findings to technical and business audiences in a clear and informative manner

• Acquire experience working with cutting-edge machine learning models & techniques

• Learn or improve your programming skills (Python, SQL)

• Gain experience working with Big Data (Hadoop, Snowflake)

What will you need?

1. Basic knowledge of Math

2. Basic knowledge of programming in Python and/or R

3. Strong motivation

• Knowledge of Russian
