Deepening cooperation in Çanakkale, Turkey
From May 16 to 17, 2024, representatives from the management and all departments of the Faculty of Business and Economics in Karviná (SU OPF) participated in the 9th annual International Scientific Conference on Business Administration. This year's conference was organized by our partner Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Çanakkale, Turkey. Our participation included presenting the results of our scientific research activities and meetings with the leadership of the Turkish Faculty of Social Sciences. The theme of this year's conference was Sustainable Future: Harnessing Digital Innovations for Tomorrow's Challenges.

Completion of the May Sport Challenge
In May 2024, the first edition of the sports challenge "OPFka Sportuje" took place, with eleven teams and a total of thirty-three participants joining in. Teams competed in various sports, including running, walking, and cycling. The goal was to accumulate as many kilometers as possible for their team. The challenge was very successful, achieving great results.

We have obtained international certification for Team Academy!
After more than 4 years since the initial idea and 2 years of actively running the Inovativní podnikání study program, which is based on the Finnish educational concept Team Academy, we have obtained official international certification from Tiimiakatemia Global Oy.

A new book on the development of the Czech economy
The renowned international publishing house Emerald Publishing has published the book "Modeling Economic Growth in Contemporary Czechia". The editors and co-authors of this unique publication are prof. Daniel Stavárek and doc. Michal Tvrdoň from the School of Business Administration. The book is divided into four parts. It deals in detail with various aspects of the Czech economy - from the dynamics of economic development and the setting of economic policy, through the functioning of markets, to an analysis of the contribution of individual industrial sectors to economic growth. This structure allows the reader to gain a comprehensive view of how the Czech economy is developing and what influences its development.

Virtual Mobility project "E-Xplore the Globe – Rest of the World"
As part of the Global Mobilities projects, Coventry University from the United Kingdom introduces Virtual Mobility project "E-Xplore the Globe – Rest of the World". The focus of this project is to give students the opportunity to virtually travel through different countries via locally delivered webinars on topics such as culture, language, employment, technology and sustainability. This project is a free initiative.
