Markéta Skupieňová absolvovala obor Bankovnictví na Obchodně podnikatelské fakultě V Karviné, Slezské univerzity v Opavě v roce 2014. V letech 2012 – 2014 pracovala jako bankovní a finanční poradce v Modré pyramidě, stavební spořitelně a.s. v Karviné. V letech 2014 – 2018 působila jako interní doktorandka Katedry financí a účetnictví Slezské univerzity v Opavě, Obchodně podnikatelské fakulty v Karviné a také jako referent projektů na Úřadě práce v Karviné. V roce 2018 obhájila disertační práci na téma „Zdroje financování ve vztahu k řízení platební schopnosti podniků v České republice“ a získala titul Ph.D. V současné době působí jako odborný asistent Katedry financí a účetnictví. Vede přednášky a semináře z předmětů Manažerské účetnictví, Nákladové účetnictví a Managerial Accounting. Dále vede semináře z předmětů Finanční účetnictví I a Finanční účetnictví II. V rámci své vědecké činnosti se zaměřuje na oblast finančního účetnictví, nákladového účetnictví a manažerského účetnictví.

Markéta Skupieňová graduated in Banking at the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship in Karviná, University of Silesia in Opava in 2014. In the years 2012 – 2014, she worked as a banking and financial advisor at Modrá pyramida, stavební spořitelna a.s. in Karviná. In the years 2014 – 2018, she worked as an internal doctoral student of the Department of Finance and Accounting of the University of Silesia in Opava, the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship in Karviná and also as a project officer at the Labor Office in Karviná. In 2018, she defended her dissertation on the topic "Financing sources in relation to the management of the solvency of enterprises in the Czech Republic" and received the Ph.D. Currently, she works as an assistant professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting. She leads lectures and seminars on the subjects of Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Managerial Accounting. She also leads seminars on the subjects Financial Accounting I and Financial Accounting II. As part of her scientific activity, she focuses on the area of financial accounting, cost accounting and managerial accounting.
