“Discover Shanxi” Online Winter Camp
Our partner, Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE), kindly invites our students and colleagues to an online winter camp. SXUFE has been our partner university since 2018. Within our cooperation, several staff and student mobilities have already been realized. The last time we hosted the largest group of Chinese students from SXUFE at the faculty was in the academic year 2019/2020.

Farewell to our Chinese students
In the winter semester, our faculty welcomed the first group of 45 students from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE). This student mobility is one of the first accomplishments of our recent cooperation with Chinese universities. The planning for this particular mobility started almost one year ago when our universities signed a bilateral agreement for Exchange and Visiting studies. During the past summer semester, prospective bachelor and master students were interviewed via an online video call. Afterwards, each candidate from SXUFE had to apply and prepare a Learning Agreement for studies, which had to be approved by both partner universities. The students with the best university scores and interview results were offered to study at our faculty as Exchange students who are freed of tuition fees. The rest of the students had the possibility to attend the program as Visiting, i.e. tuition-paying students.

We are deepening cooperation in China - 2019
As part of the international activities of the SU SBA, on 19 - 25 October 2019, the Faculty representatives Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Gongol, Vice-Dean Assoc. Prof. Šperka and an International Relations Officer (Department of International Relations) Bc. Novotná set out on a carefully planned tour of China, namely to visit 2 Chinese universities in 2 cities. The mission followed previous visits to Chinese universities in 2018, visits of Chinese delegations in Karviná in August 2019, and the arrival of the first ever 45 students from the Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE) at the SU SBA in WS 2019/20.

On Monday, August 26, 2019, an official visit by the Chinese delegation from the Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE), which has been our partner university since 2018, took place at the Silesian University in Opava (SU), the School of Business Administration in Karviná (SBA).
