So, who’s behind the event? The well-established duo - the School of Business Administration of Silesian University in Karviná and the Faculty of Management of Rzeszów University of Technology. Once again, students from all over the world joined in - including participants from Poland, Slovakia, India, Egypt, and of course, the Czech Republic.
What was it all about? Students delivered ten-minute presentations in English on topics ranging from environmental issues to marketing and thesis projects. Whether it was a piece of research, a creative concept, or a seminar paper, every student had the chance to shine. After each presentation, a panel of six academic experts provided feedback - not just recognition, but also valuable insights for the future.
And you know what makes it even better? Thanks to the online format, participants could join from anywhere - even if they were on Erasmus in Portugal, for example. The virtual environment knows no borders!
This year, 25 students competed, including 13 representatives from our faculty, covering all levels and forms of study. From our side, the event was organized by Dr. Stoklasa, in collaboration with the International Relations Office. And how did it all turn out?
Naturally, the event concluded with the traditional Closing Ceremony, where the top performers were announced - followed by well-deserved applause. And the competition was tough! Some presentations stood out with their brilliant content, others impressed with creative delivery or perfect teamwork. But only five could make it to the winners’ circle:
Our heartfelt congratulations go to all the winners! In addition to diplomas, they also received a scholarship of CZK 2,000 and valuable prizes. We sincerely thank all the students for their energy and courage, the expert jury for their professionalism, and both organizing faculties for their excellent cooperation.
And to you, dear readers - stay tuned! Who knows, maybe next time it’ll be you joining the ranks of our talented presenters!
And finally, a few words from this year’s winner Patrik Vašíček: “I’m truly happy that I was able to represent our university with dignity and achieve such a great result. This experience was valuable for me not only as a competition, but also on a personal level.”
