In the first part of the interview, he describes how demanding it was to manage a project thanks to which 1.5 million people visited the Czech pavilion, which received a gold medal from visitors and other prestigious awards and became the most visible presentation of Czechia in Japan in recent decades. He also reveals behind-the-scenes aspects of cooperation with partners from all over the world and explains why Expo still has enormous importance in the era of virtual technologies.
In the second part of the interview, Ondřej looks back at his student years at SBA. He talks about how his studies taught him independence, strategic planning and the courage to go abroad – whether to Japan or the United Kingdom. He definitely does not see today’s students as a “fragile” generation; on the contrary, he appreciates their energy and their desire to do things that make sense. His message is clear: work hard, be persistent and resilient, because “real diamonds are created under pressure”.
