Performance Measurement: Key Performance Indicators
The new module Performance Measurement: Key Performance Indicators helps students explore how companies evaluate success, drive performance improvements, and make informed, data-driven strategic decisions.
Many large companies are implementing efficiency programs to improve their operational performance. Reducing purchasing costs is often one of the main levers of optimization.
This module provides an understanding of performance management models (strategy definition, objectives, key success factors, KPIs, etc.) and the key indicators used to satisfy both internal and external stakeholders. It explores purchasing cost-reduction levers (demand management, supplier consolidation, etc.) and how to design and implement a strategic savings action plan.
Since buyers are required to manage multiple action plans, a thorough knowledge of purchasing savings principles is now essential (EBITDA impact, recurring vs. non-recurring savings, one-off savings, cost avoidance, etc.). Beyond financial performance, this module also covers other dimensions of purchasing performance (process optimization, sourcing efficiency, supplier relationships, etc.).
Finally, a dedicated section will focus on purchasing risk management, including action plans and methodologies for implementation (assessments, mapping, processes, etc.).
The course is taught in two online sessions, and attendance at both is required to complete the course.
