Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) are short intensive learning programs newly introduced under the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programing period. BIPs are a combination of virtual and short-term physical mobility (typically 5-30 days) and are characterised by the use of innovative ways of learning and teaching. The virtual part allows participation in teaching and training from foreign experts from all partner countries involved. The physical short-term mobility then allows for face-to-face collaboration between all participants. Upon successful completion of the BIP, the student is awarded 6  ECTS credits under elective courses.

In the summer semester, students can apply for one of the programs below. A maximum of 5 students from our faculty will be selected for each BIP.

Name of the program: Startup Simulation Game

The third edition of the Startup Simulation Game BIP will take place in the winter semester 2025, culminating in a week-long mobility in Bremen, Germany.

Step into the shoes of an entrepreneur! The Startup Simulation Game invites students from STARS EU universities to experience what it really takes to launch a business. Through action learning and international teamwork, you’ll explore the entire startup journey—from idea to funding—while gaining valuable cross-cultural and interdisciplinary experience.

What’s it about? This Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) combines online preparation and an on-site intensive seminar. Together with peers from across Europe, you’ll research business ideas, build models, design plans, and test strategies in the TOPSIM Startup online management simulation, supported by workshops, lectures, and coaching from professors.

Schedule:

• Virtual part: Weekly online lectures start on October 29, 2025, preparing you for the on-site seminar.
• Physical part* : The intensive phase takes place at Bremen City University of Applied Sciences from December 1–5, 2025
• The program concludes with an exam by December 19, 2025.
