In cooperation with universities associated in the STARS EU alliance, this year we are opening a new BIP (Blended intensive program) called "Startup simulation game" for interested students. The project will involve about 30 students from different universities across Europe. In international teams they will go through an educational course, the centrepiece of which is a simulation game from TopSim that simulates the environment of a start-up company. During the game, students will have to make a series of decisions that will affect the company's management. At the same time, they will compete for market position with other student teams that form a fictitious competitive environment.

The BIP is divided into two parts. The first part consists of online collaborations from 6 November to 30 November 2023.

This will be followed by a one-week mobility (4 December - 8 December 2023) to the Dutch city of Groningen, specifically to Hanze University. (Btw. one of the most student-friendly cities on earth - try googling and you'll see!). This week-long mobility will be covered by an Erasmus grant, so students will have their travel, accommodation and food paid for. And what else, the course is worth 6 ECTS credits.
