On Wednesday, October 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be a workshop (in Czech language) on study stays abroad in the foyer in front of the Large Auditorium (Velký sál). The Faculty Coordinator of the Erasmus+ programme will give you all the information you need regarding study abroad and practical internships. Guests will include Erasmus+ alumni who will talk about their Erasmus experiences. You can also look forward to refreshments, several international stands or a competition. For the evening, student initiative Inflace is preparing an epic INTERNATIONAL NIGHT where you will have another opportunity to network with other international and local students or taste international cuisine. The English version of the programme will take place on Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00, also in the foyer, and is primarily intended for all international students. All international students and alumni are also cordially invited to the International Student and Alumni Meetup Ostrava. The event will take place at the new City Campus of the University of Ostrava from 17:30. The programme includes live performances, moderated discussions, and stands of companies and universities from the region. There will also be a stand of the Silesian University and our foreign graduates among the speakers. Admission is free. More information about the programme and registration for the event HERE.

On Friday, everyone is invited to a trip to Janik's Saddle (Janíkovo Sedlo) in the vicinity of Kopřivnice. The aim of the trip will be to help with stacking wood for the winter in the local hájenka (gamekeeper's lodge), which is located in the NATURA 2000 protected natural area. But it won't just be about work. You will be introduced to our new student club The Talk Club and in the evening we will have a party. Come along with us! Register HERE by Thursday, October 12 at 12:00. Registrants will receive event details via email. Transportation provided by bus from the University Square, departure at 10:00. Free overnight stay in the lodge until Sunday. Bring a sleeping bag if you keep one, blankets will also be available.

International mobility and European citizenship are the central themes of this year's Erasmus+ celebrations. In 2022, 6295 Erasmus Days events took place in 58 countries. The Erasmus Days celebrations have been taking place since 2017. Czechia joined a year later. Last year, 145 events took place in our country, making us one of the ten most active countries.
