Prominent economic figures debated the challenges facing the European economy
The Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank, leading economists, as well as representatives from businesses and public administration, gathered at the international conference Economic and Societal Challenges of the European Economy. They discussed current challenges facing the European economy, the role of the common currency, and ways to modernize the teaching of economics.

DEMSME 2025 conference focused on decision-making in business and collaboration
The international DEMSME 2025 conference, held at the School of Business Administration in Karviná, provided a platform for discussing decision-making processes in small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspectives of various academic disciplines. The program also included a lecture by Ondřej Dobeš from CzechInvest, focusing on entrepreneurship as a second career for people aged 40 and above.

Run with the Dean: Record-Breaking 11th Edition!
Record turnout, great atmosphere, and sporting enthusiasm – that was the 11th edition of the “Run with the Dean” event. This year, around 150 adult runners and 70 children took to the starting line, exceeding all expectations. A new addition was the Student Running Race, won by the Digital Business study program. Run with the Dean
On Tuesday, 6 May, another annual edition of Run with the Dean will take place. The 5.3km route will lead from University Square to the Lodičky area. This run is intended for the general public, including students and teachers. You can run the race as an individual, in a relay team, or you can bring your little ones with you for the children's run.

Our partner university, Hochschule Bremen, is offering an online course on Sustainability Politics, designed for both Bachelor and Master students. This course will explore the three dimensions of sustainability – economic, ecological, and social – while providing a deep understanding of sustainable thinking and global working conditions.
