General information

Silesian University in Opava supports students financially by various means:

• additional scholarships for study abroad;
• luncheon vouchers;
• accomodation scholarships;
• significant representation of the university (international conferences, artistic performaces etc.);
• social scholarships for students in need;
• special support for students with special needs;
• and other.

Both Czech and international students can be financially supported if some precisely defined conditions are fulfilled.

The conditions are set by the Czech law and by the Scholarship Regulations of the Silesian University in Opava.

Studens have to ask for each financial support in order to obtain it.

International students can obtain the information concerning scholarships at the Office for Foreign Relations on the faculty level:
