The theme of this year’s edition focused on the holistic prevention and treatment of obesity. The FAMUP team presented a concept of an application designed to promote a healthy lifestyle within families and to prevent childhood obesity. The project was inspired by a lack of physical activity among children, low motivation for active family time, and excessive use of mobile phones at an early age. The application aims to use digital technologies in a meaningful way by encouraging movement, exploration, and healthy habits through playful and motivating elements, including an avatar that helps develop a sense of responsibility in children.
The students identified time pressure as one of the biggest challenges, both during the development of the concept and during the final presentation in Paris. Despite these challenges, they successfully defended their project and received very positive feedback from the expert jury. The interest shown by professionals, many of whom stated they would be willing to use the application themselves, confirmed the project’s potential and motivated the team to continue working on a pilot version.
The students also encourage others not to hesitate to participate in innovation projects and competitions, which they see as valuable opportunities for gaining experience, building new contacts, and developing confidence in presenting their own ideas.
