In this lecture, I will show the use of Watson-Crick Finite Automata (WKFA, a formal model from DNA computing) to predict structural motifs in proteins. The machine learning techniques applied to WKFA will be established through Grammatical Inference approaches.

This talk will illustrate the use of P systems for the design of a pandemic scenario simulator. The ARES system for the simulation of antibiotic resistance dynamics and the LOMOS system that is adapted to the COVID19 pandemic scenarios will be shown.
