What is an alumni card?
The alumni card is a digital ID that allows you to stay connected with Silesian University even after graduation and to enjoy related benefits.
Eligibility for the alumni card is granted to individuals who have duly completed their studies by graduating from an accredited study programme in the relevant field and have been awarded a university diploma. An SU employee who is also a graduate of the University may obtain the alumni card as well. For the purpose of obtaining an alumni card, participants of the University of the Third Age and graduates of lifelong learning programmes are not considered alumni.
The AliveID Alumni card allows you to benefit from numerous discounts throughout the Czech Republic within the GTS partner network. A comprehensive list of discounts is available on the isic.cz website. In addition, the card entitles you to benefits provided by Silesian University, such as library access, services of the Career and Counselling Centre, and discounts on lifelong learning courses. The AliveID Alumni card is valid from the date of issue until the end of the current calendar year; its validity is automatically extended for the following year.
How can I get an alumni card?

Register in the SU Alumni Portal
If you do not yet have a profile in the Alumni Portal, please register first. After completing the registration form, we will send a message to the e-mail address you provided. Click on the link in the message to confirm your registration. You will then receive your login credentials for the Silesian University ID Card Management Portal, where you can submit your application for an alumni card.

Submit your card application
After clicking the “Apply for a card” button, you will be redirected to the login page of the ID Card Management Portal. Log in using the credentials created during your Alumni Portal registration. In the “My Card” section, select “New Application.” The online card management portal will guide you through the application process.

Wait for application approval
In the following days, the card administration team will verify whether your photograph meets the required specifications. If everything is in order, your digital card will usually be issued immediately, but no later than within 24 hours. You will then receive an e-mail notification that your digital card is ready for activation. At the same time, you will receive a welcome e-mail from GTS with activation instructions.

Activate your card in the app
Download the mobile application Alive App. Log in to the Card Management Portal. In the “My Card” section, you will find your card’s license number. Activate your card in the Alive App using this license number.
