  • 2009–2015 – Ph.D. in Mathematical Methods in Economics, Silesian University in Opava, Mathematical Institute. Dissertation: On Dynamical Behaviour of the Aggregate Macroeconomic Equilibrium Models.
  • 2007–2010 – Master’s degree in Economics, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Economics. Master thesis: An Economic Analysis of the IS-LM Model Based on Special Functions.
  • 2007–2009 – Master’s degree in Mathematics, Silesian University in Opava. Master thesis: Analysis of the IS-LM Model.
  • 2004–2007 – Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Silesian University in Opava, Mathematical Institute. Bachelor thesis: Proposed Optimal Home-Financing Product Using the Method of Multi-Criteria Analysis (SAATY/AHP).

Barbora Volná is an assistant professor at the Mathematical Institute, Silesian University in Opava. Her research focuses on dynamical systems, nonlinear dynamics, chaos theory, and mathematical modelling in macroeconomics. She combines expertise in both mathematics and economics and applies tools from differential equations and systems theory to the analysis of macroeconomic models. She actively participates in international conferences related to mathematical economics and dynamical systems, and has presented her work in several European countries, including Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
