Social Pathology and Prevention

Programme Overview

The Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Pathology and Prevention is a three-year professionally oriented programme offered in both full-time and part-time formats. It focuses on non-teaching pedagogy while also meeting the essential educational requirements in the field of social work.

Graduates are qualified to work as social workers and are eligible to perform regulated social work professions in the Czech Republic.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the programme are well-prepared for roles such as:

·        Educational staff in leisure and youth centres

·        Prevention specialists in NGOs and public benefit organizations focused on risk behavior prevention

·        Social workers in institutions for institutional care, protective or preventive education

·        Lecturers or coordinators of primary prevention programmes

·        Social workers supporting various target groups, providing professional services in accordance with social service quality standards and organizational policies
