SU SBA strengthens global ties at NIBS 2025 Annual Conference in the USA
The School of Business Administration of Silesian University has strengthened its position on the international stage. As the only representative from the Czech Republic, it actively participated in the annual conference of the prestigious Network of International Business Schools (NIBS), which brings together top business-focused faculties from around the world. The meeting, held in Alabama, USA, provided an opportunity to establish new partnerships, share experiences, and present the faculty’s activities in the areas of internationalization and preparations for international accreditations.

Teaching in Portugal: ESG, Sustainability & Circular Economy with Pavel Adámek
Pavel Adámek participated in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in May at the partner university, The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal. The programme took place within the STARS EU consortium and the thematic group Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In his lectures, he focused on topics such as ESG, corporate social responsibility, and the circular economy. The Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank, leading economists, as well as representatives from businesses and public administration, gathered at the international conference Economic and Societal Challenges of the European Economy. They discussed current challenges facing the European economy, the role of the common currency, and ways to modernize the teaching of economics.

DEMSME 2025 conference focused on decision-making in business and collaboration
The international DEMSME 2025 conference, held at the School of Business Administration in Karviná, provided a platform for discussing decision-making processes in small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspectives of various academic disciplines. The program also included a lecture by Ondřej Dobeš from CzechInvest, focusing on entrepreneurship as a second career for people aged 40 and above.

Run with the Dean: Record-Breaking 11th Edition!
Record turnout, great atmosphere, and sporting enthusiasm – that was the 11th edition of the “Run with the Dean” event. This year, around 150 adult runners and 70 children took to the starting line, exceeding all expectations. A new addition was the Student Running Race, won by the Digital Business study program.
