Students presented their projects, seminar or diploma theses in English within a time limit of 10 minutes, with subsequent discussion with the jury. Contributions were from many areas, such as marketing, information technology, finance, management and other social science disciplines. The aim of these joint seminars is to strengthen students' presentation competencies and enable students to acquire professional terminology in English, improve their presentation skills and, last but not least, the ability to respond to additional questions of the expert jury.
The seminar is traditionally organized as a competition and it ended with a ceremonial presentation of awards to the best. The decision was not easy for the international jury this time either. Katarzyna Szpiech, a student from Rzeszów, won first place with her contribution "How to take control of your finances?". Second place went to our student Nicolas Sendrei with the article "How US presidential elections affect the stock market". Last year's winner from Poland, Maciej Ozimek, took third place with his contribution "How electromobility is shaping the future of public and private transit". The fourth place belonged to our student Matyáš Hansel with the contribution "Degrowth - Revolution of Global Capitalism". Congratulations to the medallists and thanks to all involved. We look forward to seeing you at the next event.
This years winner Katarzyna Spiech wrote about our event: “This was my third time attending international student seminar on management and financial issues. I am glad I took part in this amazing event again. In my opinion meeting people and opportunity to listen their thoughts about different topics is unusual. Despite problems that we have nowadays Silesian University organized a great meeting and we had an occasion to learn something new not only about management and financial - we have learned how to be together away from each other.”
