“Discover Shanxi” Online Winter Camp

Our partner, Shanxi University of Finance and Economics (SXUFE), kindly invites our students and colleagues to an online winter camp. SXUFE has been our partner university since 2018. Within our cooperation, several staff and student mobilities have already been realized. The last time we hosted the largest group of Chinese students from SXUFE at the faculty was in the academic year 2019/2020.

St. Nicholas Party in a non-traditional way

Every year, the Department of International Relations in cooperation with the Buddy team organizes the St. Nicholas Party, which is one of the most popular events organized for foreign students. Unfortunately, the situation this year did not allow us the traditional form of a party with Christmas sweets and mulled wine. St. Nicholas could not arrive in person with the angel and the devil due to the ordered quarantine. However, St. Nicholas did not forget about the foreign students and sent them gifts by heavenly mail. The consignment arrived at the dormitory on Thursday, December 3, 2020. The packages were full of goodies, this year the students could also enjoy our faculty mug, which made them very happy. The gift also included a short talk about the Czech St. Nicholas tradition.

Traditional International Student Seminar again at SBA

On November 24 and 25, 2020, our faculty organized a traditional meeting of students of the Rzeszów University of Technology, the Faculty of Management, and the Silesian University in Opava, the School of Business Administration in Karviná. It was already the fifteenth meeting within this “International Student Seminar on Management and Financial Issues”. For the first time, the event took place completely online in MS Teams. The students thus lost the traditional evening cultural program, and the focus was shifted to the quality of the professional program. The event was attended by 29 students from many countries, such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and India. Our faculty was represented by a group of 19 students of all forms of study. The event was organized within the ISIP university project "Sharing research activities of SU OPF students in an international environment", whose researcher is dr. Stoklasa, with support by International Relations Office.
