From September 25–27, 2025, Lenka Přečková and Zuzana Szkorupová took part in the 4th edition of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association (EERIA) Conference, held at the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conference was organized by EERIA, founded in 2021 with the aim of promoting science and research in the field of risk and insurance, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe. The event brought together approximately 30 experts from prestigious universities in Western Europe and the USA, as well as representatives of central banks (ECB, Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and major institutions such as EIOPA, BIPAR, and the Insurance Supervision Agency in Slovenia.

Our colleagues also presented the following papers:

  • Lenka Přečková: Digitalisation of Insurance in the Czech Republic: An Analysis of the Level of Digitalisation Processes and Their Impact on Client Communication
  • Zuzana Szkorupová and Iveta Palečková: Sustainability in the Banking Sector in Selected EU Countries

Both papers represent pilot outputs within the project „Current Trends in Banking and Insurance.“ The presentations introduced the first research results on digitalisation in the Czech insurance sector and sustainability in banking, including ESG indicators and their potential impact on the performance of banks in selected EU countries.

Participation in the conference provided valuable feedback and recommendations for further research directions in these areas.
