October 15-17, 2020: Three days of celebration of the Erasmus+ programme in Europe and all over the world!

International mobility and European citizenship again the main motives for #ErasmusDays

The aim of the Erasmus Days celebrations is to raise awareness of the projects implemented under the Erasmus+ program and to inform the public about their benefits. Especially this year, given the global COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to stress the importance of the cooperation, partnership and solidarity that international programs support and bring.

Erasmus Days were initiated in 2017 by the French National Agency, which organized the event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus program. A total of 11 countries participated in the first year. A year later, almost 40 countries joined. Czechia was participating in the second year for the first time. Last year, 3,995 events took place in 53 countries and our country was among the most active with 135 events.  This 4th year of the event was again a bit more successful. Despite the unfavorable development of the coronavirus pandemic, over 5,000 events were organized worldwide.  Many organizers were forced to move their events to the virtual world this year. Webinars, workshops, live sessions, podcasts, online competitions, concerts, exhibitions and presentations of innovative teaching took place. All events are captured on an interactive map at www.erasmusdays.eu.

At SU SBA, Erasmus Day was celebrated on Thursday, October 15. Those interested in student mobility had the opportunity to join the online workshop "Go for Erasmus+!", which was full of information about the conditions of study stays and internships abroad and opportunities that Erasmus+ programme offers. In case you missed the workshop, check out our new section dedicated to student mobilities. A student video interview was released as part of the #ErasmusDays celebrations. Morgane, Maksim, Baran and Christos, our Erasmus+ students from France, Lithuania, Turkey and Greece talked about student life at their home universities. The video is available on the faculty YouTube channel.
