The traditional meeting of students of Politechnika Rzeszowska, the Faculty of Management and Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karviná took place from 13th to 15th May 2019 in Rzeszow, Poland.

This was the thirteenth meeting of this International Student Seminar with the official title of International Student Seminar on Management and Financial Issues, this time it was attended by more than 40 students from many countries - Poland, Czech Republic, India, Spain, Portugal, Georgia, Moldova or Italy. The Faculty of Karviná was represented by a group of 15 students of all forms of study. The event took place within the framework of the ISIP university project “Sharing of Research Activities of SU SBA Students in International Environment”, the researcher of which is Dr. Stoklasa.

Within the set time limit students presented their projects, seminar or diploma theses in English, with papers from many areas, such as marketing, information technology, finance, management and other social science disciplines. The aim of these joint seminars is to strengthen students' language skills and enable students to acquire professional terminology in English, their presentation skills and, last but not least, the ability to respond to additional audience questions.

The seminar is traditionally organized as a competition and it was concluded with awards ceremony to the best. The decision was not easy for the international jury this time. Erasmus + students Isabel Machado shared the first place, with the paper Mass Tourism - selected aspects, and Pedro Miguel Basulo Esteves, with the paper Copyright laws and how they affect the public domain. The second place was taken by our degree students Sarath Thulaseedharan and Visakh Raj with the paper Factors influencing students’ choice of electives. The third place was taken again by our student Matěj Kuba with his paper Content analysis of selected companies on social networks. Cordial congratulations to the medallists and great thanks to all participants, too. The middle day of the seminar was devoted to leisure activities, we visited the Ignácy Łukasiewicz Memorial Museum of Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka.

One of the students, Sarath T. Mallika, wrote about his experience: "My friends and I were really fortunate to have an opportunity to participate in International Students Seminar on Management and Financial issues Organised by The Faculty of Management, Rezszow University of Technology during 13-15 May 2019. It was really a great experience. It gave us opportunity to meet new friends from various universities and from various fields of studies and to make a presentation on a topic of our interest related to the theme of the seminar. The coordinators of the programme were very friendly and it makes our stay at Rezszow pleasant. The city of Rezszow is amazing with parks, gardens and all modern infrastructures. It was really worth attending the programme both in terms of knowledge enrichment and experience."
