Our faculty received a decision on the accreditation of other study programs in November 2021. This time, it was a new study program in Economics and Management (EM) at the bachelor's and master's levels, both taught in English.

For more than three years, we have been meticulously preparing study programs based on the older field of study Business Economics and Management (BEM), which EM programs replace. Previously, the faculty's BEM field was one of the most popular in the region, with a large number of applicants. Our goal was to create new programs that would be a successful replacement for it. In terms of English-taught study programs, we are thus expanding our options with a completely new bachelor's study program EM, which will serve as a gateway for international students to our faculty. This will allow graduates to continue their education at SBA while pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in English. Teaching in English will also support our strategic interest in internationalizing the faculty environment and curriculum, as well as significantly expanding the range of English courses available to exchange and visiting students.

The bachelor's degree program EM is a big hit with anyone who wants to work in business management or who has an interesting business idea that they want to put into action. We will introduce them to the world of business and teach them what entrepreneurship is and what it entails. We will introduce them to the company's operations and the activities that take place there. We will also concentrate on the process of developing a new product from the initial concept to its launch, marketing events to support its sales, customer distribution, the implementation of ideas for its improvement, the management of the entire product portfolio, and the company itself. We will not forget to teach students how to perform these tasks efficiently, how to technically process data for advantageous decisions, how to monitor competition, how to use technology and social networks, and how to gain the support of colleagues.

The master's degree program EM is a continuation of the bachelor's degree program with the same name. But what makes it unique? The student will gain a better understanding of how large multinational corporations employ tens of thousands of people in a multicultural international setting. We will also consider long-term planning for various business activities, risks, business and financial operations, international tax systems, and their impact on the world around us. We will concentrate on marketing campaigns, the success of various brands, and the operation of the company in the digital world and on social media.

Both programs will be taught on a full-time basis. Their strength is the synergistic effect with our professional programs, which are based on intensive collaboration with corporate partners, which we have transferred to EM programs. Another distinguishing feature of EM-ka, as we know it, is its willingness to support the digital economy and the use of modern information technologies in teaching individual courses, data processing, and obtaining valuable information about one's own company, competitors, and customers. At SBA, we expect our EM study programs to be as successful as their predecessors, and we welcome all students who choose them to begin their professional careers, possibly in the Czech Republic.
