A visit to Celal Bayar University at Manisa, Turkey

Manisa Celal Bayar University, one of four partner universities of School of Business Administration in Turkey, was visited for the first time by representatives of Silesian University in Opava - between October 25th and 29th , 2021.

Manisa Celal Bayar University, one of four partner universities of School of Business Administration in Turkey, was visited for the first time by representatives of Silesian University in Opava - Alena Rusinová, Erasmus coordinator working at the International Relations Office and responsible for bilateral agreements, Martina Chylková and Krystyna Heinz, teachers belonging to the Dept of Tourism and Leisure Activities between October 25th and 29th , 2021.

The goal of the visit was to provide Turkish students and academics information related to the opportunities of studying at SBA in Karviná, study programmes as well as specific courses offered by SBA departments. The mentioned teachers delivered lectures related to their specialist subjects both to students and academics raising an interest in studying in the Czech Republic.



The Czech visitors to Manisa were also asked to participate in a spectacular celebration of the 98th anniversary of the Turkish Republic foundation involving planting trees in the campus and a meeting with the rector of the university and deans as well as teachers of Business and Political Sciences faculties.  

As discussions between Turkish and Czech colleagues have shown common interests related to educational objectives and Turkish colleagues have proved to be a dynamically developing team, a closer cooperation with Manisa Celal Bayar University will definitely contribute to the successful internationalization at both universities. 



Celal Bayar University at Manisa with its 14 faculties, numerous vocational schools and 70,000 students presents a huge potential for the students and teachers incoming to this remote but beautiful place within the programme Erasmus+. The university campus situated outside the city centre offers a study and entertainment in the attractive surroundings situated in the mountains, about 40 km away from Izmir, a big city providing an air connection to Istanbul.
