Are you considering studying in the Czech Republic and want to read about the students' experience? Or are you one of the international students currently living in the Czech Republic or an alumnus of a Czech university who would like to share your own story? Visit the Student Blog run by the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, which provides useful information about the higher education system, study opportunities and students' life in the Czech Republic.

Recently, two stories from our international alumni have been published in the Student Blog. Benoy completed his Master's in Business Economics and Management at our faculty in 2020 as one of the first graduates of this program. "During my studies, I experienced a different way of teaching – small groups with lots of interaction. The faculty also has a very well thought out student buddy programme. The coordinators made sure that all of us (the international students) were assigned with a student buddy to help us out in this new experience. It was very helpful in becoming more aware and involved in all the things.", Benoy says. What led him to study in Karviná? What were the highlights of his stay? And how has his life changed since the coronavirus pandemic hit the country in March 2020? Have a look at:

Another story has been shared by Suhani who spent her Erasmus+ stay at the Faculty of Philosophy and Science in Opava, Silesian University in Opava, studying Bachelor's in Computer Science. Suhani has always dreamed about the foreign lands. Her journey from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India to Opava was the first international one. On the day of arrival, she received a warm welcome from her Czech teacher. "That cheerful smile on her face clearly gave me a feeling of satisfaction that I am at a safe place.", she said.
