Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2021! Listen to the Christmas message from the Dean Prof. Daniel Stavárek.

Dear friends, the end of 2020, which has not gone as planned, is slowly approaching. It has been extremely difficult and complicated for all of us. We have had to adapt our lives, both family and work, tighten our belts, adapt to new conditions, we have suffered losses at work and in business.

Life has also changed at our faculty. Classrooms, dormitories and corridors have become empty. Teaching, testing, staff meetings and meetings of our university bodies, all have been transferred into the virtual world.

I would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers for their efforts and striving for the highest-quality online teaching possible. I would like to thank all non-academic staff for the fact that even in unusual and extraordinary conditions they have ensured the smooth functioning of our faculty. And I would also like to thank the students for their helpfulness, for their cooperation and for continuing to take their studies seriously and responsibly. Many thanks also go to all those who have involved in helping the needy during the pandemic.

In these difficult and challenging times, the real values such as love, health, willingness to help and mutual belonging have become significant.
I would very much like the coming Christmas to be in the spirit of these values and that you can spend them with the ones you love. May this coming year be better and allows us to meet again work and learn together and to rejoice in the success of our faculty.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Prof. Daniel Stavárek
