The following week, foreign students, together with their buddies and foreign coordinators, went to Ostrava to soak up the real Christmas atmosphere. Christmas markets were more modest this year, but even so, students had the opportunity to get acquainted with typical seasonal products such as cookies, mulled wine, mistletoe, decorations, and other handicrafts. Then we went to the Café Club Dock on Havlíčkovo nábřeží, where we experienced local delicacies and pleasantly discussed the Erasmus experience. And what else? We followed the motto that sometimes spontaneous decisions are the best, so we voted to go to the nearest bowling alley. In the end, we chose the Rubín Club, which surprised us nicely, even though we were a bit in doubt during the initial entry, as it seemed that we found ourselves in the last century. Because most of us were very competitive, there was nothing to stop us from playing bowling with vim and vigor. Subsequently, we played other available games.
Even though our St. Nicholas Party did not take place traditionally at the faculty, we were still able to find a way to meet and enjoy it together. Sometimes just a non-standard time brings unusual experiences, and we believe that our foreign students enjoyed this last event of the year to the fullest. The International Relations Department together with the Buddy team wished our Erasmus students a happy journey home and is looking forward to organizing more events in the coming year.
