This official visit is a continuation of the cooperation between the SXUFE and the SU from 2018, when the SU SBA management also met the representatives of the SXUFE on their Chinese tour and agreed to establish the cooperation. The first practical outcome of the joint effort was two teachers’ visits from the SXUFE to the SU SBA, Department of Finance and Accounting in the first half of 2019. Furthermore, in September 2019 we are expecting the first group of Chinese students to study at the SU SBA for 1 or 2 semesters. Moreover, in the field of teachers’ visits, 1 assistant professor from the SU SBA is going to work at the SXUFE from September to December 2019.

The SXUFE is located in Taiyuan City (5 million inhabitants) in Shanxi Province, China. Taiyuan has deep historical roots that date back to 497 BC. and it was the seat of more Chinese dynasties. It is also called the Dragon City. Average temperatures range from -11 degrees Celsius in winter to 30 degrees Celsius in summer and it lies on the Yellow River. The university has 30 thousand of students at 24 faculties.

As part of the strategic activities of the SU SBA, on August 26, 2019, a cooperation agreement was signed in the areas of student exchanges, study of Chinese students in our follow-up Master’s degree programme in Business Economics and Management, the preparation of the double-degree Bachelor's degree programme in Economics and Management in English, and scientific-research cooperation. In order to further refine these activities, representatives of the SU SBA will set out for a reciprocal visit to the SXUFE in October 2019. We look forward to plenty of study and career opportunities, which this cooperation will bring to students and teachers of the SU SBA.
