Local Transport
Opava is a relatively small city, but offers a good system of local transport. Students can apply for a student transportation card with discounted rates (about 550 Czech crowns for 3 months) which comes in handy especially when you live in student Hall of Residence Vávrovická, which is quite remote (cca 20 min. by bus). Municipal transportation office is located in the very centre of Opava, on Upper Square (Horní náměstí).
