The project entitled Silesia and the issue of the middle income trap - Czech and Polish regional perspectives is focused on the development of cooperation in the field of science, research and education between the Silesian University in Opava and the Opole University in Poland.
Its aim is to strengthen the links between some of the academic staff and students of both institutions.
The problem that the implementation team wants to examine from a professional scientific point of view, is the influence of the absence of a sufficient regional perspective in defining the goals of social and economic development. Cross-border regional cooperation enables the perception of Silesia as a complete compact economic region.
