The Central European Papers (C.E.P.), an international scientific journal is a peer reviewed scientific periodical focused on the history, politics and society of modern times in Central Europe. The Journal was founded in 2013 and is published at the Faculty of Public Policies of Silesian University in Opava (Czech Republic). The Journal is published twice a year in printed and electronic versions, and in English or German with English abstracts. The editorial office accepts articles dealing with wide Central European space from the aspect of history, political science and sociology or historical sociology areas. All articles are subject to anonymous peer review procedure; each manuscript is reviewed by two independent reviewers. (See also the "Review Process" section.)
The Journal is indexed in the following international databases:
- The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (CEJSH) The CEJSH international database was founded in 2004 in compliance with joint decision adopted by the presidents of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the Slovakian Academy of Sciences and the general secretary of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Prague in October 2003. The database publishes English abstracts and full wordings of articles from professional journals focused on social sciences and humanities in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
- Central and Eastern European Online Library (C.E.E.O.L.) The C.E.E.O.L. international database is an online archive allowing access to full wording of articles in PDF format from 1 135 journal from the area of humanities and social sciences and re-digitalized documents concerning the topics of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.
- European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) ERIH PLUS is an prestigious European reference index containing bibliographic informations on academic journals in the humanities and social sciences. Originally established in 2007 as ERIH (European Reference Index for the Humanities) by European Science Foundation (ESF). In 2014 was transferred to the Norwegian Social Science Data Services (NSD). At the same time it was extended to also include social science disciplines and renamed ERIH PLUS.
